A day of running and 5K's

I am running a 5k (3.1 miles) tomorrow - my first since October. The race starts 1 mile from my house. How great is that? It cost $10 to run it and the shirt is worth at least that. I am going to try to run the race in anything better than 24:33 overall - that is 7:55 a mile or better. Please send good thoughts my way (and some prayers if you desire). Does God answer running prayers? :) hahaha.... I am hoping that it will very overcast with NO sun. But every Sunday for the past 3 months it has been super, duper, ULTRA hot with lots of Sun. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. and John is bringing all of the family since it is so close. They can walk there. I'm excited to go for a P.R. For all of you non-runners, that means Personal Record (my best). I think my best P.R. for a 5k is 22:36, but that was 3 years ago BEFORE my knee surgies, so now I am doing P.R.'s based on my after surgery running. You kind of have to start over have a year off of running.

Tomorrow afternoon we are doing our 3rd set of Baptisms, but 2nd set of river baptisms. I believer John will be baptizing four or five new believers and then we will have a service afterwards and some yummy Peruvian food. We are totally looking forward to the day.

I'll let you know how the race goes and I promise to take some Baptism pictures.
