I ran better than my goal and got a 24:07 in the 5k today. That averages 7:45 per mile. I am very pleased. It was like July 4th heat and humidity today so I know I can do better. :) There were 4,000 runners and I was in the top 100-150. Notice in the pictures where I am finishing that there were ALL guys around me. That made me feel good. It was a great race. The kids had a blast and John said he really enjoyed it as well. We are now heading out the door for Baptisms, Church and Peruvian celebration of the Baptisms.
Posing in my running shirt, after the race, with my finishing time. Here in Peru it is customary to wear your running shirt the day OF the race. A red, hot face to prove it was super, duper hot!
I'm trying to beat these guys!
Go, Jessica, Go!
The confetti start! Funny thing is that I didn't even see it until John showed me the photos!

Baby's first 5k race. I hope he's hooked now.

Beautiful race. Nice shirts. Great finish time. Congrats.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so impressed by your time. My PR was when I broke 30 mins in a 5K - ha ha. I bet you are laughing at my time. You looked awesome at the finish as well. I usually look like a paramedic's nightmare as I cross the finish. Thanks for showing us all how it's done!
I love that everyone wears the same color. It's like they all have school spirit or something.
Great Job Jess-so proud of you and you look amazing for having all those gorgeous kids!!
