Lithotripsy Update

John wrote:

Today Jessica had her lithotripsy to crush the remaining stones in her left kidney. All went well. Stones should be gone and the doctor did not feel that a stint was necessary. Tonight she is staying in the hospital with lots of pain medication and discomfort. The doctor said she should be able to have the catheter removed and possibly come home tomorrow. From here, we just pray and hope that the stone fragments pass without any problems, and then we are done.

Just a cool note. Jessica's nurse all day today is from Lima, Peru. Her name is Milagro (Miracle in english). She has been in Costa Rica going to school for nursing and working for a couple of years. In December she will be moving back to Lima, but first she will be visiting Lima for almost the whole month of August - the same time we arrive. We exchanged contact info with her, and she said she lives only 20 minutes from where we will be. She also offered to contact her family so they can keep an eye out for a house for us, before we even get there. God has already given us a Peruvian friend. We were able to learn and share a lot about Peru and life in Peru.

Thank you so much for praying for Jessica.

I love how God chooses to work in our lives. It's so evident how He's had His hand on this the WHOLE time.... what a great connection with your nurse from Peru. Hope you are feeling better soon! Praying for you all.

Continuing to pray that Jessica is completely fine after all this.

Praising God for the nurse! I got goose-bumps reading how God arranged that meeting. :)

Twinkling for Jesus,
Michelle
